“We are on Earth to take care of life. We are on Earth to take care of each other.”
With the resolution to contribute to environmental sustainability and train the students to be responsible environmental warriors, Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj conducted a special assembly on 26th April, 2024 to mark the 54th Earth Day celebration. The occasion was graced by Ms. Geetika Sharma, founder, Zaruri Hai Culture Promotion Foundation and Mr. Shahab Rizwan, Chief Operating Officer, Alphabake. Keeping to the Ryan tradition and the vision of our respected Chairman Sir Dr A F Pinto “Each one, Plant one”, the eminent guest was welcomed and felicitated with potted plant.
The special assembly was a beautiful fusion of music, dance and drama. From the street play advocating environmental protection to soul-stirring monologue representing the plight of our planet Earth to the captivating dance performance honouring the remarkable qualities of mother Earth, the Ryanites did every bit to showcase their strong sense of responsibility and commitment towards environment conservation.
The momentous occasion of Earth Day celebration became even more special as Grade VII to Grade X were felicitated with Ryan awards of Excellence for their outstanding performance in the academic year 2023-24 by the distinguished guests of the day.
