At Ryan Mangalore 2nd October every year is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti as the story of his life has impacted humanity to its core. This year too to revere this day, the Principal, Staff, and Students held a special Assembly to commemorate the Mahatma’s life and teachings The assembly began with a pleasant rendition of national songs with full exuberance. A special speech by a primary section student with Gandhian quotes and messages brought the gathering to understand more about this iconic leader. Gandhian ideals were depicted through a skit that the students presented most eloquently. The students wore Gandhian attire to commemorate Gandhi and were imbued with Gandhian values and thoughts and vowed to become berths citizens of India and this World. The principal Mrs. Vaijayanthi Hegde shared a few insights into the ‘Mahatma’, in which she urged the students to imbibe the values and ideals of Gandhi and her thoughts on the importance of Gandhian Philosophy in the present-day world resonated with the alfresco.
“Be clean and keep India clean.” A drive -Swachha Bharat Abhiyan was organized with gaiety and enthusiasm on the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi the students did a marvelous job in cleaning the entire surrounding of the school and saw that it was a zero plastic zone. The grade IX took to plant a few plants to memorialize this occasion.Thus the day's celebration ended with a salute to the ‘Father of our Nation.’
