Sony BBC Earth conducted a Workshop on Tuesday 28th January, 2020 explaining the importance of sustainability. As an institution, and as individuals, we have a clear responsibility to care for our environment. Ms. Simran from Sony BBC Earth conducted several activities and showed videos to students of Ryan International School, Chembur demonstrating the need to protect Mother Earth. She explained that sustainable development is necessary for the maintenance of the Earth. The students were explained that sustainable development is to meet the needs of today, without compromising the needs of tomorrow. This means we cannot continue using current levels of resources as this will not leave enough for future generations. Stabilizing and reducing carbon emissions is key to living within environmental limits. She also stressed the need of 3 R’s – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. It was an interactive session and students thoroughly enjoyed being involved in quiz master rounds and speellbrity rounds to name a few. Each student was given an eco-friendly book to stress on the need further. The session was enthralling and informational. Students promised to seek new ways to reduce environmental impact and safeguard the Mother Earth for a better tomorrow. Sony BBC Earth Sony BBC Earth
