“The greatest threat to our Planet is the belief that someone else will save it.” Ryan International School,G-2, Sector-11, Rohini organized an Environment Month with gusto, believing on the fact that every effort makes a lot of difference. The purpose of the month long celebration was to develop awareness among the children, which will definitely creep into society for a better world. To imbibe the quality of saving our mother nature from being exploited, the students were enhanced with the knowledge of how to protect our nature and to maintain greenery everywhere around. Our mission under the project ‘Harit-Vasundhara’ is a call to action for all of us to come together to combat many environmental challenges of our time. Keeping with this tradition of nurturing a greener and a cleaner tomorrow, the plantation drive was undertaken and a number of 1527 saplings were planted in and around Delhi. Under the vision of our Respected Chairman Dr. A.F Pinto, the School organized an Eco Friendly Bird Feeder Activity for the students. It was indeed an interesting activity where students brought old cups, ribbon and seeds. They made an eco friendly bird feeder. The purpose of this activity was to sensitize the children towards their environment. An array of activities was held during the week. Students participated in Nature Photography, leaf and vegetable printing, dance competition and fashion show on Environmental theme made Paryavaran Patrika’, proposed Street Plays.
