If you think you can, you can.
It gives me immense pleasure to pen down my thoughts here as the head of this esteemed institution. Since the beginning of my journey as a teacher in 1996 from a small school in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan I have been learning each day to be a better teacher. My passion for reading during my childhood and adolescence has helped me fall in love with literature and become a language teacher. As I complete 25 years as an English teacher, I see a noticeable change in the paradigm that has evolved over the years. Teaching has always been my passion and I’m proud to be known as a ‘nation-builder’. I hope to touch many more lives in the little ways that I am expected to, in shaping the future of the nation.
We met many people over the years. Few for longer and few for a shorter period of time. We are among those who were with you for a shorter period of time. But we hope and we believe that the Education, which the students have compiled from us, shall remain with them throughout their lives. By God’s grace if in future our pathway happens to see each other we shall be proud, happy, and satisfied to see our students become the most exceptional and flourishing personalities. Life has its extremes and there are so many things that are beyond our control. But do you live expecting extremes to take control of your life? And then expect success to be with you too?
We don’t.
Most successful men and women don’t.
When everything around you seems to be impossible to repeat the words: ‘I Can, I will…’ at least 25 times a day. This shall develop a “right attitude” in you.
People with passion automatically tend to be innovative.
If you passionately believe you can develop the ability to persist in the face of adversity. The underlying self-confidence shall help you to carry on despite setbacks and shall not leave a task unfinished.
Remember Great passion can defy destiny.
People with a passion for work have all their senses involved in the job at hand. They know even at a tender age of 12 what they want to do for the rest of their lives as this young Yugoslavian girl knew. She worked passionately towards her goal. She became the most admired woman of all time and served the poorest tirelessly throughout her life. She went on to become a Mother to all. Yes, for Mother Teresa work was often her lunch.
Every successful man knows about his work. You may all know what you are. But not what you can become. “The greatest sin is to think of you as weak” said India’s all-time great spiritual leader whose teachings, even today, inspire millions – Swami Vivekananda.
If you think you can, you are right. Just be passionate about it. And if you lack passion, then develop it because success never comes till you are passionate about it.
