Hindi Divas is an
annual day celebrated on 14 September in India to celebrate
Hindi as one of Under the Article 343 of the Indian
Constitution; Hindi written in ‘Devanagari’ script was
adopted as the official language.
To celebrate the popularity of Hindi as an official language of
India. It was in 1918 that Mahatma Gandhi, widely regarded
as the Father of the Nation, had attended a conference on
Hindi literature and asked Hindi to be made the national
language of India.
